Take two friends with one vision – a shared dream to travel to the ends of the earth and conquer one of the world’s greatest challenges. Give them a guidebook, basic supplies and a backpackers budget.

They will have a specific volcano peak, mountain pass, desert or stretch of white water rapids to overcome as their ultimate goal. The show is set against the most spectacular landscapes and scenery around the world.

It’s a journey of self-discovery, and their relationship with each other will be tested to the limit. They’ll be coming at the challenge from different perspectives – through a generation gap, profession, upbringing or even simply gender.

It won’t be easy: two-man tents, temperature extremes, mood swings, mechanical problems and unreadable maps. But it’ll all be worth it when they realise they’ve finally achieved their dream – together.
